AirTies Wireless Devices Secure Against Recent WPS Security Breach by Brute Force Attack

Istanbul, Turkey, January 10, 2012: Wi-Fi Protected Setup APs have recently come under attack from brute force, a well-known attack that remotely hacks into wireless networks and jeopardises wireless security. Major industry supplier’s products are susceptible to security breaches due to design flaws. All AirTies wireless devices, including those in the field, are designed to prevent against such attacks and are secure from the multitude of brute force attacks today.

The Wi-Fi Alliance recommends three preventions against the recent brute force attacks, one of which has long been incorporated in AirTies’ software. If there are four failed attempts to connect to a wireless network using the pin number with an AirTies device, the AirTies device automatically locks and stops additional clients from joining the network. This prevents connection by an unidentified, malicious client and maintains complete network security. Should an AirTies device lock, simply restart the device and issue the correct pin when prompted to reconnect securely to the network
